As of tonight I am at 47” on the blanket! I have a picture of 46.5” but i since have knit another half inch. Which  means i have 13” to go, which means i very easily could be done in the next two weeks with everything but the border!!!!! I’m so ready to move onto something else, the white is getting to me… lol

(President Obama Photos Copyright AP)

I will not be afraid to say it… I wore my Obama shirt today and watched the historical day all day long. We welcome the new president of the United States. It was a great feeling to sit and watch and hear the promise of Change. He has a lot on his agenda and as we welcome for the next four years this amazing family as our ‘first family’. I’ll be the first to admit I was not a Bush fan… I was feeling like while he kept promising fixing other countries, he missed what was going on in ours… (yea i know terrorism, etc…) I feel like Obama has the promise that he’s going to be focusing on us… and cleaning up some of what is going on…

Okay I’m done with the politics… i promise, just had to share my quick opinion :) Welcome to our new first family, who as we can see by the pictures will definitely have a lot of the spotlight over the next four years!

Knitting? Where did I make it on the blanket? Well… 23” was my final count for the weekend. I was hoping I had made it farther (I knit 6” (according to rows) and somehow it only grew 4”… hmmm) Photo below.

I leave you with an adorable picture I saw from the AP from today’s inauguration… Take a guess whose REALLY in charge ;)
